NEW WEIGHT LIMIT FOR 13 YEAR OLDS ON MIDGET DIVISION Very Important!
We have increased the weight for 13 year olds on the Midget division to 150lbs. This increase only applies to the “older lighter” 13 year olds on Midgets.  As usual 13 year olds playing on the JV or Varsity divisions still play as unlimited weight players.

NEW GAME RULES
We have changed the unusual FSYFL defensive rules back to regular NFHS football rules for the following items: min/max # of defensive players on line, blitzing, lining up over center (except TM & MM) and blocking below the waist. We are also now allowing offensive lineman to stand in a 2 point stance. Coaches should go and download the new “Coaches What to do Document” to obtain more detail on these new rules.

TEAM FOLDERS
FSYFL continues to move into the technology age, by abolishing hard paper team file folders. All paperwork requirements can now be done online with smart phones/computers. Team check ins now done with bar coders! Hard cards, pictures and birth certificates can now all be uploaded into the player team consoles. Once a players birth certificate and picture is uploaded and then verified as accurate, players can then be added for future seasons without these requirements again. Coaches should go and download the new “Coaches What to do Document” to obtain more details on these new processes. Original birth certificates and ID’s will still be required at player certification events to verify the online picture/BC copy.

COACHES BADGES
Approval, issuing and printing of coaches badges is now all online. Coaches upload their pictures and fall badges (or do a background check) and submit badge applications through the Team Console coaches pages. Emails will be sent when badges are approved by FSYFL and coach badges can be maintained on phones or printed like at an airport boarding pass check in.

ALABAMA/GEORGIA EXPANSION
As already announced we have opened up the tournament into Alabama and Georgia for this 2017 season, providing us with the opportunity to have the D1 state champions to get an additional game against the GA/AL D1 state champions. D2 teams will still only go to the State Championships level.

TEAM REGISTRATION & PAYMENTS PORTALS NOW OPEN
The Registration portal is now open for teams to register and receive user names and passwords to their team console pages. Payments portal is also open and players can start paying fees or installments online. http://www.fsyfl.com/payment-players/
